Brand new Trans-Overseas website is finally live!

The new website is finally here and…

It’s been a long time coming…

As most of you may already know, our old website was well designed, intuitive and well within the norm for a business website in the mid 1990’s. The problem was, it was almost 2020. In this era of HTML 5 based websites with beautifully scripted widgets built with JavaScript, our old website was behind. ASP.Net based web apps are so smooth, most people don’t even realize they aren’t actually on a website anymore. In contrast, our old website was running plain HTML. The most advanced thing on it was that the company logo was a GIF.

Needless to say, an upgrade was desperately needed.

A shade over 2 years and many headaches later, we now have our new website. It is a sleek, modern, easy to navigate website, that perfectly showcases all that we as a company have to offer. It presents content in an easy-to-digest way that doesn’t leave you feeling exhausted after 10 minutes.

There’s no “I” in Team

Our new website wouldn’t have been possible without our entire team here working towards the goal of bringing our online presence into the 21st century. From content, to pictures, to new ideas for fonts and layouts for each department’s page, everybody’s input was helpful. Each contribution impacted the end goal. So, in that regard, I’d like to extend my personal thanks to all of our managers and staff that contributed in some way to this project.

Where do we go from here?

Well, that really is the question isn’t it? Where do we go from here? I mean, we have the shiny new website that we put together, and it looks great, is easy to use… It’s fast and modern too. It even still has that “new-website” smell so, mission accomplished right?

Well yes, but actually no… Even though the website looks pretty doesn’t mean it’s finished. The website is being reviewed each day for ways to improve upon what’s already there. We seek ways to keep integrating newer technology to make the website intuitive and user-friendly. We aim for it not to take an excessively long time to load or become overly complex.

This was and will continue to be a team effort. If you have any pictures of TOC or its projects from back in the day, send them to us. This also applies to any articles you have an idea for, in terms of original content. Additionally, if there are any industry articles you think our customers/the general public should see/know about, feel free to send them.

I can’t promise everything will make it onto the site, but everything will be considered. After all, without “us” you couldn’t spell “Trans-Overseasus.” Without a name, the company wouldn’t exist. Which means we’d all have to be doing something else, and who really wants that?

You are all hereby cordially invited to join us on this virtual journey into the future as we continue to do our best to bring you the best experience possible with our website.
